systems are designed to integrate battery power with generator power. In
order to support essential and critical loads when the normal supply
fails, an inverter system connected with a generator will provide power
for a considerable time. Under normal conditions the mains supply feeds the load direct. When this supply fails, the inverter system instantly cuts in to support the load and instructs the generator to start up. When the generator is stable all of the load is transferred to it and the inverter system re-charges the batteries. Once the normal mains supply is restored, the generator stops and the load is transferred back.
